Terms & Conditions.

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a booking. By making a booking, purchasing a membership, entering the premises, or participating in any activity at 1 BAM, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A booking is secured with an advance at the time of reservation; members may confirm with one session (two for the automatic table). Any remaining balance is settled at the counter (minimum spend ₹500 + GST).
  • A booking is confirmed only upon successful payment and receipt of confirmation from 1 BAM.
  • The advance is non-refundable. Plans change, though — contact 1 BAM and we will move your booking to another day, session, or table where possible; the advance travels with it.
  • In exceptional circumstances, 1 BAM may, at its sole discretion, offer an alternative booking date or credit.

2. No-Shows

  • No-shows will result in the full forfeiture of the booking amount.
  • No refunds, credits, or rescheduling will be provided for missed bookings.

3. Memberships

  • Memberships, membership benefits, privileges, discounts, access rights, renewal terms, and eligibility criteria shall be determined solely by 1 BAM.
  • Membership rules, benefits, pricing, validity, usage limits, and conditions may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of 1 BAM.
  • Memberships are non-transferable unless expressly permitted by 1 BAM.
  • Membership sessions are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Sessions not used within this period expire automatically and are forfeited; validity is non-extendable.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to suspend, revoke, refuse renewal of, or terminate any membership at its sole discretion.
  • All membership-related decisions made by 1 BAM shall be final.

4. Sessions & Timing

  • Each booking is valid only for the specific date and time slot reserved.
  • Guests may arrive at any point during their booked session.
  • Sessions end strictly at the conclusion of the booked time slot.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to request guests to vacate the table, room, or premises promptly at the end of their session.

5. Guest Limits

  • Entry is restricted to the number of guests included in the booking.
  • Additional guests may not be accommodated without prior approval from 1 BAM.
  • Additional charges may apply for approved additional guests.

6. Conduct & Fair Play

  • 1 BAM is a recreational, educational, and social gaming venue.
  • Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow players, instructors, team members, and visitors.
  • Harassment, abusive behaviour, disruptive conduct, excessive noise, intoxication, or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
  • Guests must comply with all venue rules and instructions provided by 1 BAM team members.

7. No Gambling, Betting or Wagering

  • 1 BAM is a recreational and social gaming venue and does not permit gambling in any form.
  • Gambling, betting, wagering, staking, pooling of money, side bets, or any arrangement involving financial gain or loss based on the outcome of a game is strictly prohibited.
  • The exchange of money, chips, credits, prizes, goods, services, or any item of value based on the outcome of a game is not permitted.
  • Any guest found participating in, facilitating, organising, promoting, or encouraging gambling or betting activities may be immediately removed from the premises without refund.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to cancel bookings, suspend memberships, refuse future entry, or take any other action it deems appropriate in the event of a breach of this policy.
  • Management's determination as to whether an activity constitutes gambling, betting, or wagering shall be final.

8. Private Events, Parties & Venue Hire

  • Private events, parties, celebrations, corporate gatherings, tournaments, workshops, and venue hire bookings are subject to approval by 1 BAM.
  • All such events shall be conducted in accordance with the rules, policies, capacity limits, safety requirements, and operational guidelines determined by 1 BAM.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to impose additional conditions, deposits, security requirements, timing restrictions, or venue-specific rules for any event.
  • Event organisers shall be responsible for the conduct of their guests and invitees.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to refuse, modify, suspend, or terminate any event that does not comply with its policies, venue rules, or legal requirements.

9. Alcohol Policy

  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises unless expressly approved by 1 BAM.
  • Where alcohol is permitted, the guest or event organiser shall be solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining any permits, licences, permissions, or approvals required under applicable law.
  • Proof of any required permit or licence must be provided to 1 BAM upon request.
  • Service and consumption of alcohol must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to prohibit, restrict, or discontinue the consumption of alcohol at any time and at its sole discretion.
  • Any guest who is intoxicated, behaving inappropriately, or creating a disturbance may be refused entry or removed from the premises without refund.

10. Damage & Responsibility

  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to Mahjong tiles, tables, furniture, equipment, décor, fixtures, fittings, or any other property belonging to 1 BAM.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to recover the full cost of repair, replacement, cleaning, restoration, or loss arising from any damage caused by a guest or their invitees.
  • We understand that accidents happen. We request all guests to treat our equipment and space with care. Any significant damage beyond normal wear and tear may require replacement or cleaning charges after discussion with the management.

11. Food & Beverages

  • Outside food and beverages may only be brought onto the premises with prior approval from 1 BAM.
  • Guests are responsible for any spills, stains, breakages, or damage caused by food or beverages brought by them.
  • 1 BAM reserves the right to restrict food or beverages in certain areas of the premises.

12. Personal Belongings

  • Guests are solely responsible for their personal belongings.
  • 1 BAM shall not be liable for any loss, theft, damage, or misplacement of personal items.

13. Photography & Media

  • Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken within the premises for promotional, marketing, educational, social media, or other business purposes.
  • By entering the premises, guests consent to the use of such photographs and videos unless they notify 1 BAM otherwise before participation.

14. Learning & Recreational Activities

  • 1 BAM provides recreational, educational, and social gaming experiences.
  • While guidance, instruction, and support may be provided, 1 BAM does not guarantee any particular learning outcome, skill level, game result, tournament result, or competitive performance.

15. Health & Safety

  • Guests participate in all activities voluntarily and at their own risk.
  • Guests are responsible for complying with all venue rules and safety instructions.
  • Any guest whose conduct creates a risk to themselves, other guests, or team members may be asked to leave without refund.

16. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1 BAM, its owners, directors, team members, instructors, contractors, partners, and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, or expense arising from participation in any activity or use of the premises.

17. Force Majeure

  • 1 BAM shall not be liable for cancellations, delays, interruptions, rescheduling, or changes caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies, labour disputes, utility failures, acts of God, or other unforeseen events.

18. Right to Refuse Service

  • 1 BAM reserves the right to refuse admission, cancel bookings, suspend memberships, terminate participation, or remove any guest whose actions are inconsistent with the policies, values, safety requirements, or rules of 1 BAM.
  • Management's decision in matters relating to conduct, safety, compliance, membership, bookings, and venue operations shall be final.

19. Changes to Terms

  • 1 BAM reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
  • The version in effect at the time of booking, membership purchase, or participation shall apply.

20. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Any disputes arising out of or relating to bookings, memberships, participation, or use of the premises shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
